A world-class architectural statement of futuristic modern ultra luxury, the Jagged Edge Villa is a glass pavilion bestowed with a stunning Mountain backdrop and massive 270-degree panoramic views from its promontory position hanging off a cliff high above the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu on the southern slop of Queenstown in New Zealand.
A design that literally stands alone, the unrivalled architecture of Jagged Edge resembles a crystal triangle structure that appears to be floating on air with sheer walls of angled glass jutting out from the cliff anchored to the rock with steel cables overhead drilled deep into the mountainside. The vast views from the edge of the infinity pool simply overwhelm the senses with astonishment and seductive tranquility.
The pyramid form of the glass pavilion echoes the bow of a cruise ship with an interior that folds symmetrically from the centre of the glass point. With fully glazed walls soaring to a height of 9.2m at the sharp end and an interior that is almost entirely open, it is possible to see straight through the house which at times makes it near invisible. Jagged Edge is truly an architectural statement with its minimalist design complementing, rather than competing with the immense scale and grandeur of its astonishing setting.
