Maui Sunset Timelapse in Kihei, Hawaii, USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ – Royal Mauian – Video

In Maui, it can sometimes feel as if time stands still when enjoying the tropical breeze from the warm coastal waves that hit the beach, coupled with a soothing sound that is truly indescribable unless it is experienced.

According to the legend of Hawai’iloa, who was a Polynesian navigator credited with the discovery of the Hawaiian Islands, the Island of Maui was named after his son, who in turn was named for the demigod Mฤui.

In Hawaiian mythology, the demigod Mฤui was perhaps best known for stopping the sun from moving so fast. His mother Hina complained that her kapa (bark cloth) was unable to dry because of the island’s short days, so Mฤui climbed to the top the volcanic Haleakalฤ mountain to lasso the sun’s rays, using a rope made from her sister’s hair. As a result, the sun pleaded for its life and agreed that the days from that point forward shall be longer with what perhaps gave way to some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

What makes Maui such a natural luxury experience though is the sunset. Globally, this Hawaiian island is regarded for its sunsets and when The Pinnacle List brought its cameras to the island to film a timelapse in Kihei, we were nothing short of amazed. The natural beauty, combined with the feeling of tranquility, put us at such an ease that could only leave us feeling like we discovered paradise.
