Demand For Professional Cleaners Set To Soar

Hiring a cleaner will save you hours of time. One study of parents found that they spend almost 24 hours every month cleaning their homes. The study also found that sweeping, dusting, and general tidying were the jobs that took up the most amount of time. But with the cost of everything rising, including professional cleaners, are they still a popular investment that people want to spend their cash on?

Cleaning service demand

Statistics reveal that last year close to 10% of households in America used a professional cleaning service. But, demand for cleaning services will rocket over the next few years, according to the US Department of Commerce. They predict that 80% of households with a double income will sign up for a third-party cleaning service. It’s unsurprising that more and more people will pay to have their homes kept spick and span when 52% say they only clean their homes monthly and 16% have no cleaning routine.

Skipping essential cleaning jobs

46% of people say that professionals are the best people to clean their homes. Professionals ensure they clean all areas of your home, whereas individuals are likely to miss essential cleaning spots. For example, 32% say they don’t clean under their stoves, and 15% skip cleaning their ovens. Dishwashers and washing machines are also commonly left out. If you live in a city such as Portland, Boston, or Riverside, air pollution is higher, and this can make your home dirtier. So, if you’re the type of person to avoid certain cleaning jobs, a professional property cleaning service will keep your home clean and healthy. Jobs they’ll do include deep cleaning, disinfection, kitchen cleaning, bathroom cleaning, and more.

America’s cleanest & dirtiest homes

Some states have cleaner homes than others. Kansas, California, Minnesota, New Mexico, and North Dakota come out on top based on residents’ shopping habits for cleaning supplies. On the other hand, properties in Texas, Virginia, and Mississippi are some of the messiest. There’s a clear demand for professional cleaning services at both ends of the spectrum. Those living in the cleaner states will pay for cleaners to keep their homes in the pristine condition they like, while people living in dirtier states will eventually get fed up with the mess and call a professional to help them out.

Professional cleaners are already being used by thousands of people, and more are expected to take up their services in the not-too-distant future. After all, who wouldn’t want to come home from work to a neat, tidy, and spot-free property?
