Nemo House, by Mobius Architekci, is a striking, camouflaged residence on the shores of Lake Jeziorak in Iลawa, seamlessly integrated into the sloping terrain. Designed by Przemek Olczyk, the 50-meter-long structure is almost imperceptible from the access road, with only a discreet entrance and garage visible above ground. The house is embedded within the landscape, allowing uninterrupted views of the lake while maintaining privacy. Its roof, level with the ground, is covered with gravel and grass, blending into its surroundings. From the street, the entrance is accessed via a descending platform made of granite cubes, leading to an interior that extends outward with glass walls and open atria. The linear layout ensures that all primary living spaces are oriented toward the water, maximizing both natural light and panoramic scenery.

Tucked into the sloping shoreline of Lake Jeziorak in Iลawa, Nemo House by Mobius Architekci is a striking yet discreet architectural achievement. Designed to integrate seamlessly with its environment, the single-story residence is nearly imperceptible from the access road, its presence hinted at only by a minimalist driveway and entry gates for vehicles and boats. The structure itself extends 50 meters along the waterfront, buried into the terrain to maintain privacy while maximizing panoramic lake views. A glass-fronted faรงade opens the entire home to the surrounding landscape, allowing uninterrupted sightlines from the living spaces while preserving seclusion from the street above. The rooftop, leveled with the ground, is covered in gravel and grass, further blending the building into its surroundings.
Mobius Architekciโs approach balances modern design with environmental sensitivity. The home’s linear layout follows the natural contour of the land, with the main living areas positioned parallel to the water. Semi-open atriums punctuate the design, offering outdoor spaces that enhance natural ventilation and light while maintaining intimacy. A carefully planned descent through platforms and stairs guides residents from the entrance down to the heart of the home and onward to the lakefront, where a private pier awaits. The materials, ventilated board faรงades finished in white plaster and anthracite slate, ensure durability while harmonizing with the lakeside setting.
This project reflects Mobius Architekciโs commitment to site-responsive architecture, exemplified by their acclaimed Edge House in Krakรณw. By embedding the structure within the land rather than imposing upon it, architect Przemek Olczyk demonstrates a mastery of form and function that elevates the aesthetic and ecological value of the site. The result is a home that is both an architectural statement and a private retreat, where design enhances the experience of the landscape without disrupting its natural flow.
